MARYLAND'S NEW REGISTRATION PROGRAM FOR HOUSEHOLD GOODS MOVERS! Join us to hear Todd Blackistone, MD Department of Labor, Household Goods Movers Registration Unit give the highlights of the new program.

The Department of Labor launched its new registration program for movers on 12/1/2025.  Enforcement begins 3/1/26. Movers who do not register are subject to a $5000 civil penalty.  The department will discuss:

  • How many registrations have been submitted.
  • How complaints are filed.
  • Where consumers can see if a mover is registered.
  • What the enforcement process looks like.

MILITARY/DOD SHIPMENTS UPDATE

IAM represents more than 2000 companies in over 170 countries. They have been at the forefront representing the moving industry during the military/DOD household goods moving program transition over the last few years.  Get an update on:

  • The status of the military/DOD program.
